The Magic of Sterling Dietz

June / July, 2009  NEWSLETTER

Hello Family and Friends,
I just wanted to give you an update. During the month of June Sterling was busy with performances and graduation from high school. With his busy performance schedule, he was also named “Student of the Year”, maintained his honor roll status, and played #1 board on the chess team. We had a great celebration filled with family, friends, and food. Pastor Shawn opened our celebration with a prayer of hope and thankfulness. Jessica and Julia Gassman wonderfully decorated the event with a collage of memorabilia and pictures created by Jimmy Gassman, celebrating the different stages of Sterling’s life.

Jim and Deb Hanrahan took charge of catering the event, and provided a feast of delectable dishes, and desserts. Aqua-fest Idol winner, Ivanca Olanu entertained Sterling and his guests with her wonderful voice and music renditions. A great time was had by all, and as his parents there was much joy in coming together to celebrate another milestone in Sterling’s life.

School is out and Sterling is now able to fully devote himself to his entertainment career. He is working daily at the magic studio to further develop his magic skills, and work on new ideas. He also sets aside time to read and study his art.

In two weeks Sterling travels to Beijing China to attend F.I.S.M. (Commonly known as the World Olympics of Magic). F.I.S.M. is held every three years and hosted by countries from around the world. (Pictures will be posted on Beside meeting with some of the greatest magicians from around the world, he plans to see, and experience some of the history and sights of China. This is a great opportunity for Sterling to find out what it will take for him to win the gold medal in 2012.

Upon his return the month of August is filled with corporate and private performances, culminating on the 29th with two public shows at the Historic Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon, WA. Don’t miss Sterling and Jessica’s full two hour show, filled with grand illusions, acting, comedy, and dance, as it may be their last public performance in Washington this year. (We have been in negotiations to secure a full time theater for Sterling’s magic. More information to follow as details are finalized….)
