The Magic of Sterling Dietz

January / February, 2010  NEWSLETTER

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the show! Here for your enjoyment is the January – February issue of my newsletter.

Thank you so much to all of those who attended the Glanzer Adoption Fundraiser on January 16. We had a full house and the show went extremely well. It was a great benefit to start off the New Year. You can see the pictures from the show by clicking here. I had such a good time performing for all of you and I wish Brandon and Carrie Glanzer the best in raising the new members of their family.

Grandkids

My Grandma and Grandpa celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 13. My parents and I traveled down to Grants Pass for the weekend to see the family and celebrate together. I got to see my cousins and friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. I also had the opportunity to create the slideshow of my grandparents’ life together to be played after dinner.  It was so nice to learn about the history of our family and also nice to learn how to use iPhoto! To my family members reading this, I will be sending you your own copy of this slideshow on DVD shortly.

Sterling BirthdayThank you so much, everyone, for all your birthday wishes. I was able to spend February 15 with my family and I enjoyed every minute of it. 19 years old and I’m just getting warmed up! I can’t wait to show all of you what I’ve been working on. I’ve been in the studio practicing and rehearsing every day. I will put up more You Tube videos of my acts as I get them.

 Criss Angel Sterling

I just got back from the Annual XXXIII World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada. I couldn’t go last year because of prior engagements so it was great to be back in Vegas to see all my friends. I was so excited, I got off the plane, ran into the airport and yelled, “Hey, everyone, I’m back!” at the top of my lungs. Three handshakes, two pats on the back, and one round of applause later, I made my way to baggage claim. After a week of nonstop magic, I’ve returned more passionate and determined than ever. I am especially proud to congratulate my friends from Canada magicians Trevor and Lorena, who won the “Gold Lion's Head People's Choice Award” this year in the adult stage competition. They have worked hard and their performance showed why they were so deserving of the award and $5000 dollar first prize check. A day by day recap of WMS will come soon.

Breaking News!

Saturday, March 13th, my friend and magical assistant, Jessica Gassman, competed for Miss Whatcom County. The finals were held at the Syre Theater to a full house. Jessica has been a family friend my entire life and my “Box Jumper” the last four years. I was very proud watching her as she performed and represented her self extremely well. At 17 years old she was the youngest of the eleven finalists. Although she didn’t walk away with the Miss Whatcom crown, the experience, and confidence she gained seemed well worth her efforts. All her family and friends were there to cheer her on and congratulate her for making the finals.
